Pastor Rebecca A. Kahnt
The Reverend Rebecca "Becky" Anne Kahnt is the middle child of a mother who was Baptist and a father who was Catholic. They decided they wanted to raise their children in a church, but neither wanted to belong to the church of the other. So they compromised and became Presbyterian. It was in the Presbyterian Church of Toms River that Becky found the best way to understand and express her faith finding that she was truly a Calvinist but more importantly, truly a child of God. Baptized in 1985, confirmed in 1994 and ordained as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament in 2006, Becky has known that God has had a call on her and is excited each day to see what that call will bring.
In her ministry, Becky has served churches in New Jersey as a Director in Youth Ministry before she was ordained, in Pennsylvania as a Associate Pastor and in North Carolina as a Solo Pastor.
Becky is currently in the process of obtaining a Doctorate of Ministry through Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in Reformed Christian Spirituality. In this process Becky has become a Spiritual Director, certified through the Pneuma Institute.
Becky has three children who humble her and inspire her everyday. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, writing and reading.
