We are a diverse congregation that welcomes all to the fellowship.  We strive to witness to the love of Jesus Christ by serving the community of which we are part and the world in which we live. We are located in downtown Youngstown, Ohio on the corner of Wick Avenue and Wood Street on the edge of the Youngstown State University campus.  We have been a presence in the city of Youngstown since 1799!

Due to our location and our generous physical plant we are fortunate to be able to partner with many community organizations.  We provide space for:

  • *Kid’s Grieve – they work with children who have experienced loss.

  • *Foster Grandparents – they work with the Youngstown public school system.

  • *Polish Youngstown – this is an organization that fosters understanding of the Polish culture.

  • *Youngstown State University – we host the annual international student dinner in September and YSU groups use our building for meetings throughout the year.

  • *Abundant Life Fellowship – a non-denominational church that uses our facility for worship on Sunday afternoons and Bible study on Tuesday evenings.

  • *Living Water Ministry – a non-denominational church that uses our facility for worship on Saturday mornings.

  • *Boy Scout Troop 55 – chartered by our congregation this is an active troop focused on building character and providing service to the community.

  • *Tai Chi – classes during different times of the year.

  • *Lunch time learning – “educational series that features great topics and respected speakers who can help you build skills to work smarter, advance your career and build your firm’s business.”

  • *Book Club – for the love of reading and sharing what is read.

  • *Fabric arts group – people who love to sew, they have made dresses to send to Haiti.

  • *Time Bank – they trade time for talent (no money changes hands!).

  • *Protestant Family Services – an outreach to assist families in need uses our building during the year.  PFS uses our facility for their annual Salad Lunch and Fashion Show in October.

*Midlothian Free Health Clinic is now located on the lower level of our building.  Providing a holistic approach to health care for the most underserved in our community, they offer health care, physical therapy, cooking classes and nutritional guidance.

*ACTION (Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing our Neighborhoods) – encourages active participation in changing our community for the greater good.

*Home for Good – works with returning citizens as they assimilate back into the community and work force.

*National Alliance on Mental Illness – NAMI Mahoning Valley is a grassroots organization made up of mostly volunteers and is the local affiliate of the national organization NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.  Our mission is to offer support, advocacy and education to the residents of Mahoning Valley, to their families and friends.  We offer educational courses and support groups to persons with mental illness and their families as well as providing social activities in the community such as picnics and Christmas parties.

*Community Services – works with veterans in providing guidance and services.

  • *We host the annual Feeding of the 500 free Thanksgiving meal every November.  We welcome all who would appreciate a warm, home cooked meal.

  • *We minister to the Gutknecht Towers residents, our next door neighbors, with an outreach program once a month.

  • *We are part of Wick Neighbors, the Mahoning Valley Association of Churches and the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance.
